Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SST Dashboard application (the “App”) operated by Scaler School of Technology (“SST”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Access

The App is exclusively available to authorized members of Scaler School of Technology, including:

  • Enrolled students
  • Faculty members
  • Instructors
  • Administrators

Access is restricted to users with valid SST-issued credentials. Unauthorized access or use of the App is strictly prohibited.

2. Account and Authentication

  • You must sign in using your authorized Google account associated with SST.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must not share your account access with any other person.
  • You must notify SST immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to access data belonging to other users without authorization
  • Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract data from the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or security mechanisms
  • Use the App for any purpose other than accessing your own academic information or performing your authorized institutional duties
  • Share, redistribute, or publicly post data obtained from the App without authorization

4. Institutional Data

The App displays academic and institutional data including attendance records, grades, course enrollments, credits, and announcements. This data is:

  • Maintained by SST and its authorized representatives
  • Provided for informational purposes through the App
  • Subject to institutional record-keeping policies

While we strive to ensure data accuracy, the official records maintained by SST's administrative office shall prevail in case of any discrepancy.

5. Role-Based Access

The App provides different levels of access based on your role:

  • Students: Can view their own academic data, attendance, grades, credits, and announcements.
  • Faculty and Instructors: Can view and manage academic data for courses and students they are assigned to.
  • Administrators: Can manage users, view any student's data, manage attendance, and perform administrative functions.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, interface, and content, is the intellectual property of Scaler School of Technology. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App solely for its intended purpose.

7. Availability and Modifications

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the App.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time without prior notice.
  • Scheduled maintenance windows may result in temporary unavailability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SST shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from:

  • Inaccurate or incomplete data display
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Loss of data

9. Termination

Your access to the App may be terminated or suspended at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your enrollment or employment with SST ends
  • SST determines termination is necessary for security or operational reasons

Upon termination, your right to access the App ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your authentication data per our Data Deletion policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
